home made mozzarella...

We made mozzarella cheese from scratch yesterday. The boys poured, measured, stirred, and paddled. The cheese is great and it was super quick and easy to make! It was so easy I couldn't believe we hadn't tried it before.

The recipe is at our food blog...

We don't even eat cheese and I want to make ourselves some. I was so inspired when I read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. I love how yours looks!

That's it! You guys are officially invited to come and cook all the meals in my kitchen.

I was never taught to cook and never bothered to learn on my own. When I do try things they almost never come out right. I love that you do this kind of thing with your boys, its invaluable!

We love this recipe and use it often. I'm currently looking for a closer source for raw milk (my friend who lives 2 hours away totally has it made--she gets raw milk for $2 a gallon!!!) and when I get my hands on some, we always make tons of yogurt and cheese, etc.

Looks beautiful and yummy!

Oh, heart fresh mozzarella!
I still need to find a source for raw milk here in Nova Scotia. It is now going to the top of my "things to research" list!
Thanks for sharing! It is such a wonderful thing to bring kids into the kitchen!
