candles...check.

Don't forget to join us tomorrow for Earth Hour - Saturday March 28 at 8:30PM local time.

The boys love any excuse to decorate and embellish beeswax candles. So, today we cut, carved, decorated and embellished candles to light our hour (or more) tomorrow night.

We are ready!

Great idea! Maybe we'll do some tomorrow before it gets dark, I know the boys would love it.

Beautiful candles! We're planning a candlelit evening, as well. I've promised my son that we will play Uno and have our bedtime story by candlelight. He decorated a candle with pressed flowers about a week ago, but I think we'll make some candles today, too.

They did a great job decorating the candles! We actually rolled beeswax candles and decorated them this morning for Lenten lights. :) We agreed to burn only one of the ones we made tonight along with lots of tealights so we can play board games by candlelight. Enjoy your earth hour!

Love the green raingear from the previous post.

Those are beautiful candles! How did you decorate them? Looks like wax. Can you just buy sheets of colored wax and cut it out? We are crazy for candles (well, mostly for matches and lighting fire) around here, and I think my boys would LOVE to make some of these.
