a journey...

Today we went on a journey. The distance was not too far in miles, but we did traverse across many lands.

We visited grand cities,

arid deserts,

lush jungles.

We saw man-made marvels

and were awed by the staggering beauty of fragrant flowers.

We were tickled by the many mysteries of nature.

We were tired from our journey, but brought home many memories (and a whole list of things to google).

A perfect Sunday. Hope you all had a nice weekend!

How very cool! An exciting weekend for sure. Is that first photo also taken at Legoland? I'd never heard of a place before!

All of the photos were taken today at "The Domes". It is a botanical garden which consists of 3 giant glass domes - arid, tropical, and flower. The flower dome has a train show every year...the theme this year is Legoland! The boys were particularly excited about that theme. ;)

Oh WOW!

I wonder if we need to make the four hour journey (that's one way) to visit those gardens. It looks heavenly!

We went there on a vacation to WI a few years back. We loved it too!! It was right about Easter time so it was really awesome.

Gosh, I think that it's been 20 years since I last visited The Domes ... with my mom when I was a teen. I'm glad that you all had fun. :)

Mmmmm, I don't know how your climate (other than cold) is up there, but spending time inside there in that clean, clean air and warm, tropical temps and moisture sounds so lovely!
We have a shop called Cactus and Tropicals, and I love wandering through there in February - I always feel so renewed and refreshed!

My parents used to take us to the domes when we were little. Thanks for reminding me of a wonderful memory!

The train show is the best! We went last week, almost as soon as it opened. What a great break from our midwest winters. Lovely photos, as always!

Oh, how sweet! We have a similar place here that we took the boys to recently. It's fun to go on such an exciting new adventure so close to home. :)Our kids would have loved the Lego exhibit!

We love the domes and visit every time we're in Milwaukee..about twice a year. Thanks for bringing back some fond memories of time spent there. I love your blog...I have a son who is a bundle of energy and so inquisitive. I've picked up some inspiration from you...thanks!
