snow, snow, snow!
We have had a lot of snow this week! Today we got about a foot - and after spending several hours digging out our sidewalks and driveway, we still had some time for fun.
During the storm the snow was icy, sharp, and stinging with crazy winds. After the snow stopped it calmed down a lot - and there are not many things more exciting in winter than climbing massive shoveling piles.
Yeah, that is the ground wayyyyyyyyy down there.
Yep, down there.
It is indeed a gorgeous winter wonderland as the entire world seems to be covered in mountains of pristine white...that is, until you need to go somewhere. Lucky for us, we are cozy at home with lots of science projects, holiday crafts, food baking, and of course, each other!
We are getting another 5-8 inches over the weekend, which should give us enough of the white stuff to re-create our massive snow forts and get some sledding in. The boys can't wait!

How gorgeous! It looks like a Winter Wonderland at your house. :)
We're bracing for about 12 inches of the white stuff on Sunday night!
I'm glad your boys enjoy all this snow :)
How nice to be where you are and not needing to go anywhere. Rain, shine or snow.
IT's beautiful. And I am glad that you have electricity and snow. Down in my hometown, they have ice and no electricity. Oy!
looks amazing. so much beautiful snow! by the way, those are two really handsome lads you've got there. they look like their off on an arctic "expotition".
Your boys look so cute with their rosy cheeks and noses. As long as you don't have to go anywhere, all that snow is great!
beautiful...fun...lovely white stuff to play in, jump on, build in...just reminds me of the book Snowy Day.
Enjoy the next 5 inches!
I really like this weather, as you know, and I like the feeling of "snow days", just cozying in at home. I'm cool with it today and tomorrow, but please oh please let Sunday turn out nicer than forecasted! ;)
Yea! We got loads of snow dumped on us today too. Amelia is bummed because the doctor told her to rest for a month because of growth related knee problems (she has grown too much, too fast this past year!)-no snowshoeing or tobogganing or skiing for a month (maybe just one trip up the toboggan run). Enjoy the snow, I love the snow!...for now
Holy toledo lady that is a junk load of snow!!!!
We have a dusting on our local mountains...but wow!
Glad you can have some fun it as well as look at it from the inside of a cozy home~
Throw a snowball for me!
:)
Oh that looks amazing. While you are soooo chilly, we are warm and looking for cool pool to jump into.
These photos are lovely. Have a wonderful weekend in the white magic that surrounds you..xx
I love being snowed it.
Quite nice, aye?
Looks like great fun!
All our snow has rained away the last couple of days... Hopefully we'll get some before christmas.
