here we go again...
We had a weekend full of snow, candlelight, board games, and...back pain.
My back went out again. Why is it that the most excruciatingly painful injuries happen over weekends when all offices are closed? I am not able to move much - can't stand, sit, lie down, ya know, get dressed. I'm not one for emergency room visits for pain meds (allergies) so, I'm crossing my fingers for a miracle-working acupuncture/acupressure massage appointment this morning (if they understand my PLEEEEEEEEASE can you see me this morning and not tell me they have a slot, say, next Wednesday) and throughout the week. I am hoping to get mobile quickly enough to put my little boys worries to rest. Until then...I think I'll be posting some favorite photos of the week and will return to longer posts when I can sit again! :)
Hope you all had a nice weekend!
Oh, I can sympathize with how difficult it is to try to function with horrible back pain. I pray they will be able to see you right away so you can have some relief from the pain. I also hope that you are able to find time today to rest and that you will heal quickly. Take it easy and hang in there. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your back going out again! Sending you healing thoughts!!!
ReplyDeleteYou got much more snow than we did. We got just a dusting.
Take care!
I hope you can get that appointment right away... I am sure your boys will be excellent helpers for you.

Oh, Denise, I'm so sorry!!
ReplyDeleteSending lots and lots of well-wishes to you!
Oh No! I can sympathize... bad back here too.
ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself and I hope the appt. with your acupuncturist/massage therapist helps.
Sending you get well wishes!
ReplyDeleteSaying a service for you.
ReplyDeleteOh Denise, I feel your pain. I have lived with back pain now going on 20 years. Once I realized what actually caused it I've done better. But still creeps up sometimes. Hope you feel better really soon.
ReplyDeleteWe got the snow too. It's melting away now though. But more is expected. Boo!
This happens to my favorite people :(
ReplyDeleteDamon seems to throw his back out more often, these days. It's surprisingly debilitating.
My neck is better; I got lucky this time. Usually, it's about as paralyzing, so I know what you feel.
I really hope it stops spazzing soon! Wish I were there to help!
I am so sorry to hear about your back. I had a bad fall 20 years ago and at times my back goes out and I'm in excruciating pain. I know how hard it can be especially when you have kids to take care of too. I hope you have a good support system and that you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh no! That darn back of yours. I'm sorry you're in pain - I hope you get some treatment and relief very very soon.
ReplyDeleteOh, no! I'm so sorry to hear it! We must be on the same "schedule," since mine went out a few weeks ago and also a few weeks before you the last time. I hope you can just lie still and let your boys make lunch for you. (Diego made my lunch when I was stuck in bed, and that was the highlight of my bed rest.)
ReplyDeleteFriends keep recommending pilates as back problem prevention to me, and I think I'll try that after I'm done with this pregnancy. Sara's "going on 20 years" comment scares me!
Feel better soon. It will go away in a few days!
Oh Denise, so sorry to hear about your back, "been there, done that". Yuck! Hope you heal quickly. Lots of rest, blessings.
ReplyDeleteHope you're feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm so sorry. One of my sisters just had her back go out and she said the pain was as bad as being in labor. I can't imagine trying to function through that kind of pain, I hope you were able to get the appointment and that it helped.
ReplyDeletePain. Be. Gone... wishes from here!!
ReplyDeleteoh denise i am so sorry...no fun to be laid up. hope you are back on your feet soon...with no pain!
ReplyDeleteglad you had a little fun with candles and board games! and look at that snow again...oh boy!

So sorry to hear about your back going again. I feel your pain, literally. I've suffered with a bad back myself for years. Hope you get better soon :)
ReplyDeleteOh, you poor lady! I hope that you're able to get some relief soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope you can take it easy and get some relief soon! Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon!
ReplyDelete(To cheer you up: my verification word on this comment was "hyphae"...not only a real word, for once, but one that relates to fungi, which I know are popular around your house!)
I LOVE your new portrait photo :) you look marvelous!
