Don't forget to join us tomorrow for
Earth Hour - Saturday March 28 at 8:30PM local time.
The boys love any excuse to decorate and embellish beeswax candles. So, today we cut, carved, decorated and embellished candles to light our hour (or more) tomorrow night.
We are ready!
Wonderful light in that first pic...
ReplyDeleteSuch fun candles. Great way to spend Earth Hour!
Have a happy weekend!
Great idea! Maybe we'll do some tomorrow before it gets dark, I know the boys would love it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful candles! We're planning a candlelit evening, as well. I've promised my son that we will play Uno and have our bedtime story by candlelight. He decorated a candle with pressed flowers about a week ago, but I think we'll make some candles today, too.
ReplyDeleteWe're ready to! Those are some great candles that your boys decorated.
ReplyDeleteThey did a great job decorating the candles! We actually rolled beeswax candles and decorated them this morning for Lenten lights. :) We agreed to burn only one of the ones we made tonight along with lots of tealights so we can play board games by candlelight. Enjoy your earth hour!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful altar! We are ready also, we'll be joining you tonight. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteOur candles are ready and waiting too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful project to do together - I love the candles and really enjoyed reading your blog posts!
ReplyDeleteI love their intials on the candles. Helps them to 'own' your celebration. Hope it was wonderful!
ReplyDeleteHadn't heard about this, though I'm so "in the dark" most of the time I miss these tings. lol I remeber you doing it last year I think.
ReplyDeleteLove the green raingear from the previous post.
Blessings to you Denise and family~
Those are beautiful candles! How did you decorate them? Looks like wax. Can you just buy sheets of colored wax and cut it out? We are crazy for candles (well, mostly for matches and lighting fire) around here, and I think my boys would LOVE to make some of these.
