ER.

Not what I had in mind for our Sunday evening. Thankfully A is OK, but will need to take it very easy (yeah, right - he's FIVE!!!) and have ice on a particularly sensitive boy area for the next 2 days or so. ouch.

I had a big box of art/craft supplies arrive on Saturday - so the good news is that we will have plenty of fun things to do inside this week!

  5. OW! Poor guy! Glad he's ok! Those ER visits are such a pain. There goes 4-5 hours of your day-at least that's how it goes here!
That tie-die kit is lot's of fun!
    Hope his recovery is quick!

  8. Aw, poor little guy! How rough for all of you. Glad to hear he's doing okay.
Ooh! a tie dye kit, how fun!!!

I'm enjoying your new camera also, such lovely photos. Isn't it funny how we get used to the quirks of our machines - cameras, bikes, cars - and know just how to get them to 'behave'. I love all the flowering trees this time of year; finally our lilac is big enough to cut off a bit to bring inside to smell.

  9. I'm so glad he's alright and what a stressful evening! I hope he's feeling better soon. Those pesky boy parts are no end of trouble, I don't know how they manage! :)

I do love the shot of the ER, the bed with the octopus is awesome. I'm glad the crafts arrived just in time!

  11. Hope A has a quick fix...and out playing soon. Looks like you have lotso' crafts to keep you busy.

That TieDye Kit looks like it might be brighter and bolder than our go at it with the Rit dye this past weekend.

    Hugs to all!

  17. My oldest had a boy parts injury when he was around 6. And there was the broken arm and stitches on his chin...he plays hard. Often these injuries look worse that they are and feel terrible, but heal quickly. Part of being alive, you know.

Swift healing for A. Comfrey sitz baths are my recommendation.

  19. Ooh! The ER is the last place I ever want to spend time. Especially with one of the kids. (Well, the kid--the CGP is now a college graduate with a job!).

I hope all is well that ends well for your A.

  22. Thank you for all the good healing vibes & wishes. He is feeling quite a bit better, and not surprisingly, was very willing to be fairly still most of the day yesterday and today! :)

  23. Sally - this batch of supplies was from Dick Blick. We also like waldorfsupplies.com, and achildsdream.com. So many great places, but I return to those often. Oh, and dharmatrading.com for the stuff we are going to tie-dye! :)
