Hankies.

This time of year with the viruses and cold air we go through so many tissues. What I like to do is make a stash of super soft hankies. I like using the softest fuzzy flannel. I have also made some with regular flannel - they get softer after a few washings. The nice thing is they are soft, re-usable, easy to wash, and take only minutes to hem!

The boys like the moose hankies the best. Cute pattern and super soft!

Note:: Ok, so G was concerned I only included the photos of the moose hankies, as he also likes the space shuttle hankies. So here they are:

I love to collect vintage hankies and use them. I've been meaning to make some more appropriate ones for my son since I'm pretty sure he doesn't want to carry around little flowered ones ;) Your's are terrific.

What a wonderful idea as Flu season February gets underway!

And I like the Space Shuttle hankies, too!

Look at those beautiful liquidly eyes! And being from ME we can say we definitely are all for the Moose hankies!

Move over Kleenex!

I love that soft flannel...we used squares(lots of them) for homemade baby wipes...they were great, as I just tossed them in the load of diapers.

I should make some hankies...the boys' have been using bandanas...as that is what we use on the trail...but something softer...would be better.

We use cloth hankies here too. And cloth wipes and cloth napkins and cloth TP.

great great idea. we have nasty colds going around right now and i usually use white flat cloth diapers for wiping noses...I think I'll make each child their own cutie set of hankies now! Fun wintery and USEFUL project!

Denise, these are wonderful! We're all healthy right now (quick, knock on wood!), but I'd like to make some for future use. Do each of the boys have their own pattern or does everyone just share?

Cami-Yes, we usually do have different patterns for each person. Makes it easy to remember, and my boys like picking out their own design. I have solid flannels for my husband and I, and the boys find fun colorful fabrics! :)

I think these are such a great idea! Would you mind telling me the measurements you used?
Thank you, Erin
