more color!

After painting a bunch of rooms together (when my husband was home for a few days over the holidays) we have been working on painting another room or two per weekend.

It is a nice way to do it - getting something accomplished each week, but without any all day marathons or too much at a time - keeps us all happy and boys not overdone.

This week we did the kitchen, front hall, and dining room. Everything is feeling cozy and comfortable. Which is just what we need when the deep freeze hits.

I love having some color inside when it is white outside! Ahhh, January!

I love your colours. Our house is so dark that the gorgeous brown you chose would never work for us (actually, now that I think of it, our office is brown) but bringing colour in to warm things up really does make a difference. We just have to finish our kitchen. I can hardly wait. :)

  2. I kept thinking we needed lighter colors in our darkest rooms too, but am actually very happy with how the light looks with the rich colors. Our kitchen doesn't even have a window in it - and the brown on the back wall looks cleaner/nicer than the white did! :)

  3. Beautiful colors!

We need to paint our basement and are trying to think of the best way to go about it since we use the space sooo much. In some ways I would just like to do a marathon, but in other ways not.

  7. Very fine!
I should probably finish my kitchen, this winter. I wonder if I will? :)

Picking colors is hard - when I did our livingroom a few years ago, I painted it three different colors! The first two I thought would work didn't, then finally the faux finished straw color worked. thank goodness!

Yay for done! Or very near. :)
