it's all about water.
Last weekend it was c-c-c-cold outside, so we took a day trip and visited our favorite science museum in Milwaukee!
We walked on water,
Under water,
Through water,
Dipped our arms in water,
And measured how much water our bodies contained.
We operated remote control under water cameras. We saw ships and boats, water recycling and sanitation, and water gardens. We created art in water bubbles. We looked at aquariums, the Great Lakes, and saw how sound affects water. While there were so many other things to look at - the day was definitely about water!
It is warming up - today will be 25º, and by Thursday a balmy 34º is expected. So we will head outside to enjoy this heat wave while it lasts. Have a great week!

I so wish we had a science museum around here! I would absolutely love that!! (er, and the babes, too, of course. :) )
;) I know what you mean. We have to drive to Milwaukee for this one - about an hour 15. But love that it is there, and we go often!
I love that you visit often. I haven't been there in about four or five years. The last time I went to a museum in Milwaukee was the Martin Ramirez exhibition at the art museum, about two years ago.
Super cool! That looks like a great museum...in the 30's eh? I won't tell you what temps we have been having ;)
Brrrr! But that looks like it was a lot of fun!
Looks like you had a fantastic time at the museum
Super exciting. I'm headed to Boston to see the butterfly exhibit. I'll post it.
What museum is this? We've visited many in Milw but I'm not sure this one. Thanks for the tip!
J - It is Discovery World in Milwaukee. It is a great science museum. It sits right on Lake Michigan just a hundred yards or so away from the art museum. Your kids range up to a bit older - I think they would love it. There are classes/clubs/events there all the time too which look awesome!

We finally went there last fall, while visiting family. We will definitely be going back. Wish it were closer.
