last bits of warmth.

So this is it, I think. The last gasp. From the warm sunny days comes the snow and cold. We are excited about it - the boys ask (often) when it will be here. They want to make snowballs, snow angels, and snowmen, after all. Of course the bigger stuff won't come for a few weeks at least, but even with flurries comes that one of a kind snow smell in the air and lots of excitement. Oh, and warm apple cider (can't forget THAT!).

Not that we are complaining about the nice weather...we did soak it up!

Oh - we are transitioning into a bunch of new interests and a new season for the boys, so have a lot of new books...I'm adding a bunch to the side bar, if you are interested!

  3. I hope your boys get some snow to play in soon. My kids would love to have some snow right now but it's raining.

It's below freezing every night here now, but no significant snow is on the horizon yet. The other day we had rain, freezing rain, and flurries!

  5. Even Binky is talking about when the snow will be in Tahoe so we can go snowboarding. He can't stop talking about it! Our day was just as sunny yesterday. Looks like you enjoyed it!

It began to rain here today, and it is getting colder and colder. I think snow is on its way.

  7. We already had our first snow. During Sukkot, of all things!

This week started with temps in the 60's at our elevation, but then it got colder. Today was a warm, sunny dry day, though. But it is going to snow "for real" (the Boychick says) tomorrow.
