While I love autumn and winter, it is the loss of fresh produce that affects me the most. It's so hard to select items from the grocer after having fresh stuff for so long. (Thank goodness for Brennan's and the like!)
I feel the same way come February. We are lucky that in January, the roadsides bloom with trucks up from Texas selling freshly picked and sweet grapefruits. It carries us over.
Your Halloween door was really pretty. And the costumes looked great--especially in motion! :)
Denise, I have a question for you ... Do you know of any renegade craft shows in the area? Do you know what I mean? Think Bust magazine and all the lovely craft blogs. X and I have been looking for something nearby, but can only locate the traditional kinds of art and craft shows, with country-themed Christmas ornaments, etc.
Ooooh, thank you SO much. We are both excited and tentatively planning to attend Christmas Craftacular. Yay. (I think that I'm going to drag my husband along since that is when he is home on break!)

ReplyDeletewhatever you do, don't mix it with chocolate pudding and call it dessert.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwwh Karen!!! You spoiled my surprise. And I thought I had an original idea.
ReplyDeleteJodi--Me too. We freeze/save as much as we can but by February I just want to shove orange after orange after orange down my throat! :)
Lovely end-of-season veggies!
