I have a pile of fabric "scraps" and was digging around to see what I had, and think of what I could make. I found two larger pieces that I thought would make a great beach/pool bag. I don't usually sew from a pattern, so I just laid it all out on the table, eyeballed it, and cut out the pieces I needed...scale all being determined by how much fabric was available.
It didn't take very long at all. It has 2 straps, is lined inside with a pocket, and has two end pockets outside. The inside is a rough textured terry cloth, the outside a cotton blend...and it is all easily washable!
