september, pt 1

Oh, September! The days are not so hot, the nights are chilly, the mosquitoes are pretty much gone, the leaves have the slightest hint of color, the fields are golden, the signs on the rural roads shout Apples! Pumpkins! Squash!

Our kitchen counters are full, and we spend each day outside as much as we can be, exploring, harvesting, playing, roaming, gathering, and each evening baking, cooking and canning.

Oh, I do love September.

Me too! I love fall in general. I look forward to it from the early signs of spring.

I was actually thinking of you last night, when clouds of mosquitos descended on us in the evening. We had to leave and go indoors. I've never seen them here before! Very strange.

I do love September if for no other reason than the run up to October - my most very favorite month :0)

What's in store for your loads of luscious apples??

ooh - your leaves are starting!! Ours are not, yet.
Soon for the mountains, probably!!

Fall is my favorite season of the year. Love to watch the leaving falling down like rain from the trees when a strong breeze passes through. We live in the South, wish we could say the bugs are going away but not for a while yet still.
Blessings

Oh, so many fall lovers! :) I love the colder air, and leaves changing and just ... slowing down and earlier darkness. So lovely.

And those of you in the So. Hemisphere - it is wonderful seeing your spring arrive just as our fall does. Connects the dots for me on this big beautiful planet.
