The Garden - August.

I can feel it. The garden is almost peaking and from here we will count the days until our nights are cold, we check for frost warnings, and fall will come. I love the fall and look forward to cooler days, but I also enjoy reaping from the garden what we have worked so hard on all summer. Everything is so lush and green and tumbling on top of each other overtaking every open spot. The best part of summer.

Hi Dawn! It's Dawn!

Denise-Lovely collage...I am partial to the sunflower (I almost used my login pic-as my header!) and the bee butt!

Don't bees have the cutest butts? As long as they keep them to themselves!

Ahh, Fall...what's that? :) j/k We get a little bit and we will get a lot when we travel back to MO in Oct. Looking forward to it~

Have a great day!

Thanks everyone. :)

Laura -- When I am out taking pictures in the yard, the boys will yell BEE BUTT!!! (repeatedly) whenever they see a bee in a flower so that I will go over to take a picture. So, yes, boys will do that to ya! ;)

Gorgeous, gorgeous! What beautiful photos. I too am feeling that the garden is on the down side of summer succulence. However, we are still reaping the bounties, as you are. Blessings. Looking forward to fall too.

Thanks so much for sharing those wonderful photos. I am a novice gardener and am reveling in the bounty of my own home-grown food, and enjoyed both the pictures and your obvious love of your garden.

Oh, me too. It always makes me slightly sad to see the end in sight. But we have had such lovely meals this summer, all from the garden. I love it.
